BATTLE OF THE TITANIC, TINUBU, ATIKU, OBI WANT TO BE THE PRESIDENT

The road to 2027 General Elections is far but near. Political fervour is gathering momentum towards next year’s election, in Nigeria, with so much interest hinged on the president election because of the awesome powers of a an unfettered potentate the nation’s peculiar socio political fabric, even if not the constitution, endows the occupant of the office of the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

President Bola Tinubu has boasted that going to contest 2027 election, every candidate will be defeated because Tinubu is more prepared than all the other candidates with the renewed Hope agenda every Nigerians will vote for me. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu among others that have made no secret about their respective ambitions to ascend the position of Nigeria’s first citizen via the ballot box.

Alhaji Abubakar Atiku is not just statesman, he was a former Vice- President of Nigeria, with the sharpest philosophical minds. A man who faced storms without bending. He did not drift into the corridor of power by a chance. He walked in with convictions and accolades. Since his entity into politics in 1993, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has unsuccessful sought five times to gain the office of President of Nigeria via the ballot box. In 1993, the retired top customs officer contested as an aspirant in the Presidential primaries of the Social Democratic Party (SDP). Losing to Basoru Moshood Abiola, who went on to win the June 12, 1993 Presidential election. Atiku was again the Presidential candidate of the then Action Congress (AC) in the 2007 Presidential Election coming in third after the declared winner, Alhaji Umara Yar’ Adua of the people Democratic Party (PDP) and major – General Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd) of the then All Nigeria people Party (ANPP) at second place, Making a comeback to the (PDP) for the 2011 Presidential Election, losing out to then incumbent president Good luck Jonathan in 2014, Atiku joined the All Progress Congress (APC) ahead of the 2015 presidential Election, losing out to then incumbent president Good luck Jonathan. He lost alongside others to muhammadu Buhari. In 2017, returned to PDP and was the parties Presidential candidate during the 2019 presidential Election, again losing to incumbent president Muhammadu Buhari.

The count down to the 2027 general election, the die is cast and history is about to be made going by past experiences, once set, politicians of over ambitions he will embark on name- calling against opponents and promising heaven and earth on such critical issues as improving the nation’s economy and resolving the ruined security situation by APC led by President Tinubu.

President Tinubu is about finishing his four (4) years tenure social contract signed with Nigerian by force. Thus, therefore the field hopeful successor to the presidency has great rival like Peter Obi is expected to stop him. The 2023 presidential Election, Labour Party (LP) flag bearer Peter Obi, now the presidential flag bearer of NCN has vowed to stop President Bola Tinubu.

I have discovered his game plan with INEC. Obi left the party of Labour to joined ADC December 2025, Obi said, we all know how Tinubu Monday Okpebholo of Edo State came to being, except those who are economical with truth. “This time around, I Peter Obi will stop Tinubu”
