Reigning African champion Nigeria Super Falcons have lost their automatic ticket to the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup after crashing out with a 1-0 defeat to hard- fighting Cameroon Lioness team in the quarter – final of the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations. (WAFCON) The first female Football reporter in Nigeria –Prince sunny Ebhojiaye, who covered first female football World cup in China 1991, has advised Nigerians to pray for super Falcons following the –poor performances challenges facing the ten –times Africa champion. Speaking during a special session for Nigeria Super Falcons on Sunday Church Service at the voic-e of salvation Healing Ministry (Aka God Answer) at the headquarter in sango-Ota, Ogun State, Evangelist (Barr) Sunny Ebhojiaye, said there is need to intercede for members of Super Falcons team as they face lots of challenges and attacks of poor preparation of WAFCON and lack of fitness cause of discharging their football duties, Evang Ebhojiaye who started covering Female Football Tournament since 1987 and First Female Football National Championship in 1989 in warri, urged Super Falcons to pray as well and ask for forgiveness of reaping the sin of Lesbianism against team mate in the camp.
